JSC NPP Kvant

The history of the enterprise goes back to 1919 when the resolution of the Chief Engineering Command of the Red Army based on the former private workshop galvanic cells and storage batteries production was launched.

Kvant’s main scientific and technological area of activity is the development of methods of different conversion of different kinds of energy (chemical, solar, thermal) into electricity and the development thereupon independent power supply sources and diagnostic aids widely used in different areas of manufacturing and the special equipment.

At the present time, Kvant activity is the development and manufacturing of as follows:

1) Sollar Cells and Solar Arrays for space application;

2) Standalone Photovoltaic Power Systems for terrestrial power stations;

3) Motor drive systems and monorail transport;

4) Hybrid systems for self-contained power supply for various applications.
