Zlatoust Machine-Building Plant

Zlatoust Machine-Building Plant was established in 1939 as a manufacturer of small arms. Today it is a part of the Federal Space Agency and one of the leading manufacturers of strategic guided-missile systems for the Russian Federation Navy and the largest factory in the Chelyabinsk region in terms of government contracts for the defence sector. The company is manufacturing accessory equipment for submarine-launched ballistic missiles R-29RMU2 Sineva (designed to be carried on nuclear-powered cruise missile submarines, Dolphin Class). Besides defence contracts, the plant also produces household appliances (electric and gas cookers). In addition, the plant can handle metallurgical and mechanical assembly production, foundry manufacture, cable production, and technical consultations.
