Joint Stock Company Ural Research Institute of Composite Materials was formed on the base of the Ural branch of the Central Research Institute of Material Science in 1992 and is one of the leading manufacturers of products from composite materials.

The Institute participates in various projects dedicated to rocket and space technology: “Morskoi Start,” “Proton,” “Topol-M”, and other projects within the scope of the state defense orders.
