JSC Siberian devices and systems (until 1992 the Omsk Mechanical Plant) was founded in 1959 pursuant to the USSR Government decree with the aim of the Soviet space industry development. Currently, the enterprise has two shareholders represented by Roscosmos and ISS Reshetnev.
Starting from the 1970s the company has been producing attitude-control systems for spacecraft, gyroscopic and electronic control devices for land, air, and sea-based missiles (now this segment is almost lost), and spacecraft actuators. Among the other services offered by the Siberian Devices and Systems are mechanical, galvanic, and assembly production.
For almost all of the satellites developed by the ISS Reshetnev, the company today provides electro-mechanical components.
