Production Association Polyot was founded in 1941 and is the Omsk-based aerospace engineering state corporation best known for being the manufacturer of GLONASS satellites and the Kosmos-3M launch vehicle. It has developed more than 250 different spacecraft throughout the company’s history. In the early 1990s, the company worked on the AN-3T light multi-purpose aircraft, AN-70 transport aircraft, and the AN-74 multi-purpose aircraft.
In 2007 the company was integrated into the Khrunichev enterprise. In 2015, it was decided to re-equip Polyot’s production facilities to develop modules of the Angara launch vehicles family and components and structures for the Proton-M and Rokot launch vehicles.
By 2023, the Roscomos plans to deploy a mass production of the Angara launch vehicles on the basis of Polyot’s manufacturing facility.
