JSC Scientific and Production Corporation “Precision Instrumentation Systems” was established by the decree of the Russian president in 2007 on the basis of FSUE Scientific and Research Institute of the Precision Instrumentation founded in 1986.
The goal of the company was to implement the full cycle of development and production of precision instrumentation systems. Such systems are including quantum-optical and optoelectronic systems (ground, air, space, and sea-based) for the information transmitting for ephemeris-temporal and metrological support of space navigation and geodetic systems.
The enterprise is an active participant in the GLONASS program.
