Navigation-Information System Glonass was created in 2007 as a result of public-private partership between Russia Federal Space Agency and AFK Sistema. Now, the company is a wholly owned subsidiary of MTS PJSC – one of the main players of M2M/IoT products and services market in Russia.

The company has experience in the field of building state security systems (ERA-GLONASS, Sistema-112) and implementing departmental projects for key customers such as Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The NIS Glonass competences include transport monitoring via satellites, navigaton and information systems implementation, navigation and telematics services in B2B and B2C segments, promotion of Russian navigation technologies and services to the world market, in particular, development of the operator business and participation in major infrastructure projects in India.
