FSUE Moscow Experimental Design Bureau Mars (part of the state Corporation Rosatom) was founded in 1955. It develops and manufactures onboard systems and complexes for automatic control and navigation.  Within the Russian Federal space program, MEDB Mars develops and manufactures onboard control systems for the Electrol-L satellite series (fourth and fifth spacecraft), Arktika-M satellite series (from the second to fifth spacecraft), and the Spektr-UF space telescope.

The company’s control systems equipment is currently working aboard the five spacecraft such as KazSat-2, hydrometeorological satellites Electro-L-2,3 and Arktika-M, as well as Spectr-RG – Russian-German high-energy astrophysics space observatory.
