Keldysh Research Center is the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation (earlier RNII, NII-1, NIITP) founded in 1942. Keldysh Research Center develops, manufactures, and tests promising prototypes of various rocket engines, space power systems, high-energy beam generators, and particle accelerators.
Nowadays, works on the creation and development of the main elements and units of reusable sustainer LREs, including diagnostics and emergency protection systems, new design thrusters for upper stages, works on upgrading operational propulsion systems of launch vehicles and boosters, new SRMs using advanced propellant components for propulsion systems of launch vehicles and interorbital transportation vehicles are being carried out.
Keldysh Research Center also takes an active part in forming and implementing a Federal Space Program. International cooperation is also developing rapidly – some promising co-projects with leading rocket & space enterprises from the USA, Europe, and Asia have been realized.
