JSC Russian Space Systems (a part of Roscosmos) has been developing, manufacturing, and testing onboard and ground-based equipment since 1946. The holding structure includes the Russian space industry’s leading companies, such as TerraTech, Azmerit, Orion, Research Institute of Precision Instruments, and others.

The company’s main activities include developing and using the global navigation system GLONASS, ground-based spacecraft control center, hydrometeorological support, and radio engineering support for scientific research in outer space. Russian Space Systems is a head organization in the country within the scope of the GLONASS activities. The company also develops and manufactures high-tech equipment for navigation and remote sensing satellites.
