Joint Stock Company Research Institute of Fine Mechanics was founded in 1947 in St. Petersburg (earlier Leningrad). The company’s core expertise is the development, production, installation, and support of resilient microprocessor control systems for operating in harsh conditions.
Currently, the enterprise is involved in spacecraft equipment development, and also occupies a leading position in the market for general civilian products (control systems for outdoor lighting in cities, control systems for subways, explosive charge initiation systems for the mining industry).
Among the other areas of activity is the development of fire and explosion warning systems for launch vehicles.
