Joint Stock Company “Command Devices Research Institute” was founded in 1967, and today it is one of the leading Russian enterprises in the field of automatic control systems equipment development.
The institute’s main focus is on the development of complexes of command and gyroscopic instruments for navigation and control of launch vehicles, upper stages, and spacecraft movements. Another important area of the Institute’s activities includes the development of gyroscopic complexes and reaction wheels for spacecraft attitude control.
The organization has developed several generations of gyroscopic complexes for highly manoeuvrable spacecraft with a precision attitude control system used for observation from space and also a unified series of gyrodines and reaction wheels.
