International Space Company Kosmotras (a Joint Stock Company) was established in 1997 with a head office in Moscow. The primary area of ISC Kosmotras business operations is linked to the implementation of the Russian program for the elimination of the SS-18 intercontinental ballistic missiles that are being withdrawn from service.
Since the start of the program, SS-18 was used in Dnepr Space Launch System for commercial orbital launches of payloads. The first Dnepr launch in 1999 has made ISC Kosmotras an active participant in the world launch services market. To date, 22 orbital flights have been performed, and the total number of payloads amounted to 128. The launch service customers were space agencies and commercial companies from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UK, the USA, Thailand, South Korea and other countries.
Due to the Ukraine-Russia conflict in 2014, the program began to wind down, and the last launch of the Dnepr launch vehicle took place in 2015.
